AUTHOR: Thomas Saile,  Martin Posselt,  Maciej Dębiec,  Dmytro Kiosak,  Taras Tkachuk
PAGES: 15-39
LANGUAGE: Romanian with English abstract
ABSTRACTDuring fieldwork focussed on settlement structures of the Linienbandkeramik (LBK) in Ukraine, two sites with features of the Cucuteni-Tripolye-Complex have been encountered: Bilshivci and Kamyane. Despite the fact that the current research is devoted mainly to the so-called mega-sites, these two places, much smaller in dimension and located more peripherally, might nevertheless be of some interest. At Bilshivci, on the upper course of the Dniester, approximately 10 ha were surveyed.

Exploring the relation between the natural environment and human communities. Study case – the Bronze Age settlement at Zoltan ‘Nisipărie’

AUTHOR: Dan Ștefan
PAGES: 167-187
LANGUAGE: Romanian with English abstract and figures captions.
ABSTRACT: The landscape evolution from Prehistory until modern period in the south-eastern Transylvanian depressions was shaped by a complex system of relations – developed during the multifaceted processes of human occupation and exploitation of the land. The traces of the interaction between the people from the past and the natural environment can be easily recognized in the northern sector of the Sfântu Gheorghe Depression, in the remains of settlements, fortifications, funerary areas or sacred sites discovered along the Olt valley, at Olteni, Zoltan or Bedehaza.
