ABSTRACT: Previous field researches undertaken at Zoltan ‘Nisipărie’ had led to the discovery of a multi-level settlement with the most significant remains belonging to the Noua culture. Archaeological excavations and geophysical investigations have been undertaken here along the years. The present report resumes the results of a geophysical analysis based on the magnetic method aimed to reveal the limits and internal structure of the prehistoric settlement.
The eastern border of the intense habitation was clearly identified. Judging based on the identified magnetic anomalies, the most common type of archaeological feature found here is the pit.
