ABSTRACT: On the occasion of the rescue excavation at the wood processing factory at Reci–Dobolyka in 2015, agood number of animal bones have been discovered in 43 archaeological features (all pits), 3 of whichhave been dated to the first period of the Iron Age (Gáva culture, 11-9 centuries BC), while the rest to the LaTène period (Dacian civilization, 2-1 centuries BC).

The archaeozoological material from the Hallstatt is veryreduced in number (only 17 determined fragments), but the one from the La Tène is much more significant(599 determined fragments), and it offered us the possibility to analyse the way of living and the animaleconomy strategies of the Dacian community at Reci.
